Great Video Jeff.
One question I do have though is when it comes to the bonus offers. Ever since the bonus promotions have come to be I have seen my sales go down because I do not have my own product and am not a big name guru that can give a bunch of stuff away.
How can someone like me continue to compete?
Thanks,
Jim
Jeff Johnson: Definitely. Hire a programmer to develop a piece of software, buy the rights to something of high-perceived value, or offer a service that helps them get more out of the product.
Timing of your maililngs can also help bring your sales back up.
Mail the night before to reset the cookie, then again the morning of the launch, and just after the launch goes live… as close as possible to launch time.

Dear Sirs,
Please don’t get disappointed if I say that your viedeo presentation seems good but it has failed to convey anything . I devoted much of my time on it but sorry to say that due to some technical problem, sound is hazy, not clear and every sentence is heard only in parts, not completely. Thus meanin is not conveyed clearly. So please make it more efficient so as to convey full meaning to your customers. I feel sorry to state this. But my intention is to give you a hint to improve your manifestations more specific and clear. I hope you will not take it otherwise.
Yours welwisher,

Hi Jeff –
Thank you for this video….is excellent! I took notes, and copied down your points, even though they tended to blur on my screen.
For some reason I can’t get the SEO Traffic Getting v2.0 to work on my blog. It says installed and yet says the dns servers failed to activate.
I’ll play with it later in the week. I am hosted by hostgator but my domain is with GoDaddy.
I installed wordpress 2.8 with Fantastico so don’t know what the problem could be. Perhaps it is the 2.8 or just the GoDaddy….but can’t afford a new domain just now though.
Been studying for a while. Things are finally starting to click.
Just need to figure out how to earn a bit of cash to afford some ppc campaigns and the like. I WILL get there! —-jemyl

Great content Jeff – you are a speed demon teacher man!
Three “hidden” tips that help with the bonus to capture more affiliate sales
1. Build a list – the bigger and better your list, the more relationships you have to leverage with killer offers
2. Be a product creator – everyone tries to stay away from this “sensitive” topic – but designing and creating in-demand products (even if you outsource them) is the key to having value that you can leverage with affiliate offers and JV’s
3. Understanding the power of blogging – how to get a network of blog sites up rapidly in pre-launch stages that can help target traffic to your special offer
There is some work involved in this…it doesn’t just happen, but man it is possible and great when it hits.

Great video, But I am still a bit confused about the 3 blogs per niche part…. Are you supposed to write the same posts? different posts? Just link to your main blog post?
Jeff Johnson: Different posts, link to your other blog posts, static pages, video, social profile page, etc in that market on multiple domains.
It’s used to link to whatever you would like to send some link juice to.
Ed Baker // Sep 11, 2009 at 8:47 am
Hi Jeff,
Heard you talk about Auto-Posting, but missed details someplace. I am a bit confused about the subject.
1) Does auto-posting improve page rank?
2) Best media to auto-post; Articles, Video or Yahoo Answers?
3) How often to set posting software (hourly, daily, other)?
Regards,
Ed
Jeff Johnson: No, auto posting won’t improve rank with the exception of constant updating of posts and the total number of posts increasing.
however, the quality is the most important part so orginal keyword rich content is best.
Posting once or twice a day is fine, even once a twice a week will work depending on your market and keyword selection.

i’ll like to start a coaching business do you have some advice on how to get started? how can i get knowladge to teach others. (hope you get my bad english)
thanks in advance.
and keep up the good work.
Eddy.
Jeff Johnson: The only way to get knowledge to teach others is to gain it through study, or acquire it from someone that already has it (buy their knowledge assets).
You can’t coach others without establishing yourself as an expert first, and/or having some success of your own or success of your students.
Strart by doing, learn by doing, succeed by doing.

Great information on auto posting… I have been using that technique for getting a little traffic to blogs, to get them listed rather quickly in the serps, and alot of times when looking in my analytics software, I get the keywords that as used to get to my site. Some good info. but alot of it seems to apply to the make money/IM niches. What about for people who aren’t interested in these niches? And I like the idea of ‘continuity’ but there aren’t that many programs out there in places like CB that offer it.
So can this info. be applied for affiliates targeting niches outside the make money/IM niches? Also, you seem to like “product launches,” what about affiliate products that have been around for a year or more outside the make money/IM niches—would this info. work for affiliates promoting products outside these 2 niches?
Jeff Johnson: This specific video targets the IM market and product launches, that’s the whole focus of the presentation; the idea was to teach people who to “just get started and do something”, and this is an easy answer.
It does not, however, just apply to “make money” niches… I’ve seen launches in the forex, band instrument, horses, real estate, dating, and many, many other non-IM and/or “make money” niches.
And continuity was invented in non IM/ make money niches…. book of the month, record clubs, software licensing, financial services, etc.
This technique would work for any niche with a launch.
As for products that have been around a long time…. if the product is being actively searched for then you can indeed build a blog, a list, and work on promoting the product for free traffic, or even PPC.
I make thousands every single month promoting products that have been around a long time, and are not have launches.
This video, however, was specifically addressing the “get in front of a launch and start making money” clients that were attending the seminar.

Continuity programs are all fine and dandy *IF* they’re done HONESTLY. Unfortunately I don’t believe this is the case.
Several months ago, I paid for a trial period for an offer to check it out. I decided I did not want to continue with it and canceled within 24 hours.
Within two weeks of my cancellation, I got hit for a $47 membership fee for a continuity program that I had no idea was involved. Yes, I read the terms and conditions, twice, and didn’t find any mention of it until a fifth reading a month and a half after they hit me with the $47 charge. So I cannot help but conclude that the information about their continuity program was NOT in their terms when I first read them.
Since then, I have spent the last several months fighting with them via paypal to get this thing stopped.
I have also spent a good deal of time looking very closely at a large number of offers out there and I find that MOST of them have these hidden continuity programs and that most of the time the details are buried in a terms of service page that is written in legalese and using font and color combinations that make it extremely difficult to read.
I realize that you make money hand over fist and $47 isn’t even pocket change to a guy like you, but it’s bloody important to us “little guys” that are trying to get something going on the thinnest of shoestrings.
So when you teach continuity, I suggest that you impart the extreme importance of making that continuity ultra obvious on the very first page that the would be customer lands on. It should NEVER be buried in hard to find and even harder to read terms and conditions pages.
Sneaky, underhanded tactics like that are one of the things that make me so incredibly distrustful of ALL marketers regardless of what they’re selling because I’ve learned the hard way that most of them are out to rob people blind in pursuit of the almighty dollar.
There’s a special place in hell for people like that and it’s going to be even more crowded than the section for politicians!
Jeff Johnson: I clearly state my continuity terms and fees on the sales page right next to the “add to cart” button, and once again in the shopping cart before they enter their card info.
I personally feel that continuity should be disclosed and don’t know why anyone would hide it, but they do.
However, contiuty is a great business model and people should always consider it as part of their business.
Just don’t hide it.

I’ve added your feed to my reader, are there any other good blogs you’d suggest I read on the subject?
Jeff Johnson: Any of the marketers that I recommend to my list are worth checking out.
ABrient // Nov 22, 2009 at 1:06 pm
Good tips. I don’t like collecting email addresses even though I know how valuable they can be. I know for me, being on the other side of the fence, I have a junk email address specifically for those sites that require an email address in order to get something free. I get the free thing and then unsubscribe. But just in case the site sends me spam after the fact, that it won’t be in my personal email address. Instead it will be over in the email account for junk/spam mail that I rarely check. I’m sure I’m not the only person that does this. haha. Now sites that don’t force me to give my email address just to get something free gets my personal email address if I feel it’s worth it. For example, restaurants that I go to that have a mailing list, stores I shop at frequently that have a mailing list and so on. Anyway, back to what you were saying I know that offering bonuses are useful. Incentivizing an offer is not always allowed by advertisers at affiliate networks. More times than not it’s frowned upon. So this would be best for selling your own product or clickbank prodcuts? Do you know of an affiliate network site that allows all types of traffic including incentivized traffic?
Jeff Johnson: Fortunately enough people will give you their real email address that it makes it all worthwhile.
Each affiliate program is different so all I can say is make sure you read the terms of service for the affiliate program before you offer a bonus.
But I can say it’s not just for your own products or clickbank products.

Hi Jeff,
I really don’t know how I recieved your emails, however I’m glad to have the info. I only know how to use blogspot by google. does your SEO plug in work with that blog? and if not how do I create a blog that will use the software?
thanks, pamee
Jeff Johnson: My lists are double optin which means you had to request to be on them, and then confirm your request to be on them… I hope that rings a bell
As for blogspot, sorry, but it only works with installed wordpress blogs.
I believe there’s a tutorial about using fantastico to install a wordpress blog in less than 2 minutes here:
http://www.undergroundtraininglab.com/tgsp-install/
If not, it’s fairly easy by following the instructions at http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress

Hey Jeff! Thank you so much for this content… it’s amazing!
I have a great question, though (and I know your best content is for members only, but pleeeease, explain me this one).
What do you mean when you say every time you enter a new market you set up 3 different sites and then connect between them with Feeds?? I really need to understand that…
Thanks in advance!
Jeff Johnson: I don’t connect them with feeds, I use them for incoming links for other sites in that market, including linking between each othere to provde link love.
I suggest that you build more than one site in each market you are in so you can create your own incoming links network, and so you have more than one site that can end up ranked in the serps.

What if I dont have a list to sell to.. I would love to get in on this but I am kind of new to all this and I really want to learn. So I dont have a list to sell to yet. Im in the process of making optin page etc.. What do I do, start an adwords campaign? any tips would be great. I definately want to follow and learn from you. Thanks! You can just email if you have the itme.
Jeff Johnson: You have to build a list… that’s how we all start. Give away something in exchange for their email and then drive traffic via ppc or seo.
adwords is a very tricky subject and can’t possibly be covered in a blog comment. The two courses I used to recommend are no longer on the market but we do cover them in the club (I acquired the rights to them).
Just keep a close eye on your costs, make sure you work on increasing converstions, and focus in on buyer’s keywords.

Dear Jeff, can you teach me how to start making 1 cent monthly on regular basis using an Affiliate marketing?
I am not jocking. People teach how to become a Super Affiliate in 5, 6, 7 easy steps. I want to become a Kid Affiliate making 1 cent every month on regular basis. Is it really possible ?
I try to learn how for over 10 years. I spent over $30,000 during this time to learn how. It never happened!
Thank you
Jeff Johnson: Well, if you goal is only 1 cent a month it really isn’t worth putting much effort into it
John Englert // Feb 1, 2010 at 8:38 pm
I’m an old man (70) and am trying to sell some articles that I have written as aperson that has the wisdom of age. Example, “How to change a golf driver to hit 40-50% more fairways”. Also, how to invest money into the markets without risking principal. How to have brighter teeth without using strips, I drink 6-10 cups of coffee a day and use this to keep’em white. Any help appreciated.
Jeff Johnson: Those sound like highly competitve markets that are used to spending money to grow… so set up an affiliate program, start hunting down affiliates, and start promoting services using blogs, videos, facebook, etc. Also sign up on elance and ifreelance to advertise your services. And don’t forget to use PPC and cheap ad sources like facebook, etc.

You said you create 3 blogs before the launch of a new product, Are these identicle blogs or are there slight differences in each one?
Thanks,

Jeff Johnson // Feb 4, 2010 at 2:35 pm
as different from each other as possible.
Ken // Feb 4, 2010 at 4:16 pm
Ok, I’m confused. I’ve got all these free downloads and tutorials on plug-ins for WP I would love to use but Wordpress.com doesn’t even have a tab for plug-ins like the ones I see on the videos. How in the heck can I install plug-ins when I apparently don’t even have the option? Like a lot of ’starving’ networkers I am willing and able with plenty of talent. I even have a product that is NOT saturated in the market, heck, it actually saves people money just for being a member with a 40K monthly potential residual payout. What do I need to do here?
Jeff Johnson: The tutorials show wordpress.org; wordpress.com does not allow you to use your own plugins.
So it is designed to be installed in your own hosting account with the free wordrpress.org software.

Jeff,
I have many ideas in the area of health/weight loss/wellness. I know it is one of the most competitive markets and my ideas have been extensively researched and sourced. I know they are very unique in this niche and I have a ton to write about. I want to know what is the fastest and most effective way to monetize this? Info products, website? If you could perhaps give me a brief blueprint of where to start.
Thank You,

Hi Jeff,
I dont know how I missed this before. There is so much info here, thanks for making this available. And I have a question for you.
Towards the end of the video you mentioned that mails will be printed to blogs – and that somehow creates a “bi link”. Can you elaborate on that please. If we send emails to our list, how is that printed to blogs and how does bi links occur?
Thanks so much and I am going to look out for your next mail …
Louisa
Jeff Johnson // Feb 18, 2010 at 7:01 pm
I’m sorry but I don’t understand your question.
But I’ll try to answer…
I send emails to my list that drive the people to my blog to read the rest of the story.
Some people reprint my entire email message on their blog, which also includes the link to the story on my blog…. which creates incoming links.

Any body tell me that affiliate marketing & Viral marketing are same or not? if not, so please ex-plane me about that difference? i am awaiting your response.

Manash
Jeff Johnson // Mar 2, 2010 at 11:42 am
affiliate marketing means you sell someone else’s product in order to earn a commission, or they sell your product to earn a commission… it’s just like being a salesperson selling cars, stocks, real estate, etc… you make a sale you earn a commission.
Viral Marketing does not require a sale to be made, or even a sale as the end goal. The end goal of viral marketing is to have people like your content or message, or ad so much that they share it with all their friends, families, on twitter, on youtube, via email, on facebook etc.
Your goal is for your message or content to get passed along from person to person like the common cold.
kevin // Mar 2, 2010 at 9:38 pm
Hi Jeff,
I just started to follow your blog recently and find that the content you give for free is priceless. Other so called gurus are charging big money for half this content. Any howw, my question is…can you explain a little bit more about setting up the three blogs on different servers and accounts? I have a new product to launch and I want to get it right. By this I mean getting ranked on google’s first page within a day or two. Thanks
Jeff Johnson // Mar 3, 2010 at 12:16 am
It’s used for building you own incoming links network so you can help your other pages, posts or blogs rank higher. Not much to it… .build three blogs on three different servers and then use them to write posts about something on one of your other sites/pages that you’d like to rank higher, and then include a link in your post to that other site/page.
