Hi,
There are a lot of video sharing sites around. You sure have heard about YouTube, Revver or Dailymotion, but there are many others competing to be the number one, or targeting a specific audience, whether geographically (China, Japan, Turkey…), by language (German, Arabic, French…) or for the kind of content they enable to publish (cooking, planes, extreme sports…).
I have compiled a growing list of more than 600 video sharing sites and video search engines that you can check at http://www.ilikesharingvideos.com/video-sharing-sites/en/
For each of them, you will get useful information such as their history, the country from which most of their visitors come, their niche, their rank, their latest news…
This site offers some other interesting features, like a list of video search engines, how to make money with your videos, how to create your own YouTube site.
So if you are interested in video search engines, publishing your own videos, or even online video marketing, give an eye to this site, it worths it.
Cheers

Keep those videos coming.

Jeff…I’m lovin ya man!
I’ve been researching AFM andd IM for about six months now…ever since I met Mr. Awesome himself……Yanik Silver in the Delray, FL Marriott in the wee hours in the morning…..(a whole ‘nother story!)
I looked him up on the internet and I thought…Hey, I want to do that (albeit on a smaller scale).
So my mission began in researching and trying to find someone who ranked high enough for my standards to want to learn from. I’m specifically focused on AFM.
I’ve been researching for 6 months now and everyone keeps getting eliminated for not meeting my standards. They are not what I want to emulate. I want to be quality. Thus to say, I have been very discouraged with the people that call themselves “gurus”.
Then, enter YOU! I’m lovin what you are teaching….the quality you deliver.
I have a lot to learn yet, but at least I found someone who I feel is trustworthy, THINKS BIG, delivers BIG, creates excellent product and his videos actually make sense!! Hallelujah! What a concept!
How does one get to work with you and learn on a serious side? I’m there! I want to taste it.
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and not cutting the corners on quality and most of all….for sharin the love!

I am quite appreciative of your help.
Lovely Jewel // May 14, 2008 at 5:04 pm
One more thing…I am having one problem with theSEO blog. When writing a post, my tags are not auto populating. I’m having to manually enter them. Even then, they are not appearing at the bottom of my post in the blog. I’m fairly new, so it very easily could be ME that is doign something wrong. Any help is appreciated. Big thanks man!
Anthony says:
When you say tag lines, I’m assuming you are referring to tags associated with the post. In that case, tags do not auto-generate for each post. To create tags, you would list the tags, separated by commas, in the section called Tags, which is found under the body of the post you are editing/creating.

This social media optimization really KICKS A$$.
Last week I built a new creditcard blog, implemented the techniques of bookmarking and stuff and I’ve never seen a blog go up that fast in the serps, seems like there’s no Google sandbox at all anymore!
Lovely Jewel // May 14, 2008 at 6:16 pm
This is question is part 2 of #7 above…I thought that the “All in one SEO pack” plug in auto generated tags based on words used in your post. This plug says it is actived yet it is not auto generating tags. (In my other blog that same plug in does auto generate them.) Thank you.
Anthony Montalbano says:
The AIO SEO pack does not generate tags. The AIO SEO pack generates metatags (description and keywords) based upon what is entered into the plugin settings. It also auto-generates a meta description for each post, but it does not auto-generate tags based on keywords in the post. It’s possible you may have another plugin that could be auto-generating keyword tags per post.

Hey Jeff,
You keep cranking out some great stuff!
I have found that with 3rd party hosted vidoes if you add a few run of site links to your URLs your videos will rank much higer and stay much longer.
No one really talks about this but it is really important to back up your video URLs with more then just a few social sites to keep the video URL from falling into the supplemental index.

This totally demonstrate the Traffic Getting Jumpstart big time! I was a little bit confused on the TGJ tutorial but this cleared it up.
1. Do I use different accounts on the video sites (YouTube, Veoh, etc) when submitting the video clip?
2. When using SocialMarker, the accounts should be random for each one of SB sites too, right?

Steven // May 19, 2008 at 6:09 am
This video was great but overwhelming when thought about as a task for a single person who is also doing everything else.
A tool that could maintain all the login accounts for each service and do auto or semi auto posting would be great.
It could have a menu like on that web page you shared in another video with the addition of a pulldown menu for accounts for each service.
Then you just check the boxes you want, select the account and then run with it.
It probably should have a hardcoded throttle in it to limit submissions in some form or fashion so people don’t kill the idea – but it would be a real time saver for a 1 person show to bootstrap the concepts to revenue to outsourcing tasks as cash flow comes in.

Jeff Johnson says: I just answered this one in another post.
The short answer is a “yes and no”.
If you host the site on your server, or if they give you a separate sub domain, then yes.
Or you could build a network of social profile pages and articles and include your link… then, yes, too.

Excuse my ignorance here, but with the links to the “Sociable” sites that are shown at the bottom of the blog that you have just installed.
Do you have to go to each one of the 14 you’ve selected and make yourself a member before any post that you make on your blog are automatically picked up with those sites?

Jeff,
I was wondering could you podcasting the same way that you promote videos. I have re-read your pdf and I would that that it might do the same in theory…what is you thought on this? By the way excellent info!!
Jeff Johnson: Yes, the same basic concept with a few variations specific to podcasts. Glad you enjoy it!
Roger // Jun 16, 2009 at 11:36 am
Thanks Jeff,
Could you explain a little bit what types of “variations” I would need to adapt.
Again thanks so much!!!
Jeff Johnson: just insert “podcast” where i say “video”
Roger // Jun 23, 2009 at 4:46 am
Say Jeff;
I wanted to ask another question if I could. Now Since you say that you could take the same video and place that video on other sites…would I need to change the tiltle of the video so google won’t view it as “duplicate” content? Now if they would not view this as “duplicate content” then wouldn’t it stand the same way if I wrote an article, or podcast and did the same thing?
Jeff Johnson: Google can read what’s in a flash file from a link and text standpoint.
But duplicate content is not the issue… it’s what surrounds the duplicate content that matters.
Use different titles, add a few unique sentences to the intro or the description, etc.
Wedding Photographer // Jun 24, 2009 at 11:02 am
Jeff,
This is great stuff. Since a came across you, I have been trying to implement you ideas and strategies fro my wedding photography business and the viral video distribution is working a treat. I’m starting to creating video slide shows of each wedding and putting them out there, then book marking. I am now dominating each wedding venue, for example, if you type in “Queens House weddings” in Google, I have 7 out of the 10 positions! Being a UK photographer, my only questions is this only happens when Google is set to search “the Web”. When it is set to search “pages from the uk” my domination disappears. Is there any way of improving this situation or is it because the booking marking sites are US based and not UK?
Once again, thanks for all the great content. May be one day I’ll be able to get on one of your courses.
Jeff Johnson: that depends on the engine itself. We’ve been able to run a language translator program on us .com based sites and successfully submit them to foreign engines, and other simply pick them up as .com without translation, and others require a domiciled top level domain to rank.
But yeah, it could be because those sites are “foreign” to that engine.
Kredietkaart // Jul 18, 2009 at 4:53 am
This is still an awesome video, thanks for uploading it.
I am implementing this social things to my website for a while and it really gave a serious boost.
Roger // Aug 6, 2009 at 10:37 am
Jeff,
I ahd a question that I wanted to see if you could answer in relation to what you teach here and also social bookmarking with a site like social marker. Now here is my situation, for now I market 6 affilaite sites and I have it broken down were I deal with each affilate on different days…(Example Aff#1 on mon, Aff#2 on tues etc)
Now I plan on trying out social marker just to jeu a feel of how it will do with the videos that I will produce. I am wondering would I need to sign up under each one of those sites for each of the affiliates that I have? What about the icon that they have that you could use on firefox? Is all that really needed?
Jeff Johnson: I teach different aspects of SEO, and bookmarking has its place. but… it’s only intended to be one small tool in a much larger SEO arsenal.
Spend more time on creating the offers and increasing conversions, and less on social bookmarking.
Creating unique content rich content is also more valuable from an SEO point than social bookmarking.
Incoming links are also much more powerful than social bookmarking.
But if you do want to max out on the social bookmarking you should open up various accounts at each bookmarking sites and rotate their use.
the appearance of randomization is the key.
Steven // Aug 6, 2009 at 10:07 pm
Jeff,
Just downloaded the new plug in and plan on using on a new blog. My question to you sir is I just posted a blog that immediately indexed in Google in position 11 in 5 days for a pretty competitive term. (2,330,000 pages indexed) It stayed there for a day and then got hammered down to the 90th position. The Google cache date was the same in position 11 as it was in position 90 (aug 1st) so I do not even think it got spidered to cause the drop. I think I got sandboxed. I have read all kinds of different opinions on the Google sandbox but was wondering what your take on that would be. IE: is the sandbox for real or is it the “Bigfoot” of the internet?
Jeff Johnson: Google rankings are in a constant state of flux, especially with a newer site.
Once you build incoming links and the site ages it will stabalize.
Their cache pages don’t change as often as their rankings do; I make changes on my sites and see the rankings change but the cache still shows the old page.
Check your server logs to see if the spider visited.
But I’d just work on getting some incoming links to the site and not worry so much about initial fluctuations.

Kenney Young // Sep 1, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Hey there I have just installed your seo software but I am wondering did I miss somewhere to enter Keywords or do I need to…Brand new to wordpress…Thanx
Jeff Johnson: when you install traffic getting seo plugin for wordpress it asks you for a set of keywords and such.
But you need to write the content for the blog itself using keyword rich titles and posts.
Kenney Young // Sep 2, 2009 at 3:43 pm
I just tried to post a question & it disappeared…I was saying that I have already installed your software and I don’t remember it asking for keywords so I must have missed that part…Is there anyway to do this after it is installed

Jeff,
Okay heres the deal. I have a lot of old articles that are just sitting on my hard drive that I would like to repurpose into videos. And I have a lot of them. My question is this, in your training I did not here or see what the recommended amount of videos one should submit.
My question is giving that I have a lot of content…how many videos should one submit on a daily/weekly basis? Is 5-10 good each day?
Jeff Johnson: It’s more of a question where you are submitting them to. If you are posting them to your blog, or to your youtube channel then space them out a few days so People have time to actually watch them.
If you are submitting them for general seo reasons… don’t submit them to everywhere all at one time or you could get hit for spamming by youtube and shut down.
Just pick the most relevant sites to submit them to and do a few a day.

I ask this because in the PDF it says that you could have the same video uploaded to diffrent video sharing sites…I guess as long as they are different sites. Would that same principle work if I had different blog URL’s?
Jeff Johnson: Technically speaking google can read a good deal of what’s in a video flash file. However, they don’t penalize for the same video if you surround it with “unqiue” content such as your own comments, or on a new site with unique content.
Thanks
