Calls to Action That Get You More Traffic More Leads and More Money

I’ve been helping helping people just like you build a successful online business for years now…

And  I’ve seen the same basic problems over and over again.

So at my last Underground Training Lab Seminar I gave a 2 or 3 hour presentation called “The Big Picture”.

Its all about money sites, feeder sites, calls to action and what you need to do right now to grab more traffic, more leads and make more money.

I’ve boiled that 2 or 3 hour presentation down to 23 minutes of “core” Big Picture ideas and created this video for you.

Here’s an example of a “Call To Action” on my video page at youtube:

  1. Thanks for sharing this Jeff. I need to improve my “big finish” when it comes to telling people what to do so this was timely

  2. Jeremy says:

    Thanks Jeff.

That was great presentation. I really like the way that you “drill down” on your points when you do your trainings.

I used to forget about the “click here” part alot in banners until I watched on of your other trainings. Now I always put it on and use in other places even when “think” it is obvious, but it really does make a difference.

    Thanks again,

    Jeremy

  3. Linda says:

Thanks for the great content! I appreciate your summary.

I have a copywriting course that I haven’t take the time to go through. Your challenge was all I needed.

    Thanks…

  4. Dave Hale says:

Jeff, thanks for the new video on The Call To Action. Good stuff. So common sense, but things that some folks do not quite have a handle on.

    Keep the good info coming.

    Dave Hale

  5. Adam says:

It’s amazing how the simplest, small things can create a big difference. Your condensed call to action points are right on the money – thanks again Jeff.

    Great stuff.

    Adam

  6. Great information Jeff.
I like the way you explained the relationship between feeder sites and money sites so that is simple to understand.
I also agree with your statement that copywriting is a very important skill that everyone should learn.
Interesting point you made about how you tested your calls to action and discovered that ‘check this out’ worked better than the other alternatives.

    Thanks,

    Mike Brockman

Now THAT was good info! It’s so hard to find really useful, no-frills information for marketing online, but the info you share on a regular basis is always well thought-out and easily applied.

I have viewed literally every video clip, pdf, powerpoint presentation, etc. that you make available. I’m curious about one thing – it doesn’t seem as if you talk about Traffic King Pro very much. You talk about all of the things that are “components” of the overall TKP strategy (money sites, feeder sites, mini-networks, etc.), but I never really hear you talk about the actual TKP product very much (unless I just haven’t seen those video clips).

I’d love to get a glimpse at the degree to which you use TKP – the power it gives you is off the charts.

Great stuff, Jeff – can’t wait to meet you in two weeks. Don’t forget, your first “Lobby Bar” beer is on me!

    Thanks again,

    Brian Donley Worrell

Jeff Johnson says: Traffic King Pro is way too powerful for most people.

My business partners and our company have used tkp to build and maintain thosuands of sites.

But that’s too much for most people.

I leave the TKP marketing and training to them and just concentrate on teaching the concepts and techniques that can be leveraged by TKP.

  8. Thank you for sharing those gems Jeff.

I always open your emails once I read it (you don’t send a lot) because I know I will learn something new.

    All the best,

    Franck

  9. tq john, i’m continued learning from you! :-)

  10. Shawn says:

Man this stuff is simple! I love how you do that, Jeff, while the rest of the internet (or at least it seems) is creating information overload!
    Thanks!

  11. Jeff – I was wondering how long the seminar would be available for. Jeff Walker told me that I would benefit a lot from the networking aspect of the seminar since I’ve been pretty successful marketing finance sites since 1998, and am wanting to start to do stuff in the IM field. My problem is that I have an MRSA infection in my hip right now. The doctors told me there is a 50/50 chance of it being healed up before the event, but if it’s not that technically I could travel, but I would be a risk to those around me so I do not want too.

Jeff Johnson says: My advice is take care of your health and your family first!

  12. Brandon Fredrickson says:

No doubt . I will not be traveling unless I am 100% able to.
If I am able though it will be nice. In 2003 I was diagnosed in with cancer and right after it went into remission I ended up with this MRSA infection, so it’s been a hell of a ride the last few years.
I’ll be happy to just get out of the house, and I really can’t think of a better vacation because marketing has been a passion of mine ever since Jeff Tappan and I worked together at Mtrader.

Here is one of Halberts letters where he started to promote one of the first seminars he did on IM with along with Jeff, who was a pioneer in the field. http://www.thegaryhalbertletter.com/newsletters/zfza_more_money_website.htm

Until 9/11 Jeff handled the marketing, and I did the stock trading newsletters, seminars and ran one of the chatrooms @ MT. Since Jeff was aslo the commander of all helicopter based anti-submarine warfare on the west coat he was unable to retire. (his being full time in the Navy though also made me have to learn how to put his marketing strategy and tactics to work myself..which was one of the best things to have ever happened to me) He’s now one of the highest ranking Navy officers in Europe. In any case after that I had to handle all of the marketing myself. Left MT to start another site which did well, and over the last few years I’ve also been promoting a number of other sites.
I don’t know anyone in the IM world though, and I’m wanting to move in that direction.
At any rate I’ll stab jabbering. I’ve really enjoyed the material you have put out and I will hope to be healed up and able to attend. Regardless of being able to or not, I appriciate all the effort and sharing you have given to the IM community.

Jeff Johnson says: I’m glad you enjoy the training and I’m sure we’ll have a chance to meet in person at an event some day down the road.

  13. Brian Donley Worrell says:

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your TKP input on response #7 above. But you’re starting to slip just a bit, because you left out the MOST important thing…

We’re still on for that Lobby Bar beer in two weeks, right? :-)

    Jeff Johnson says: Definitely!

    Thanks again,

    Brian

  19. I am a Newbie to Internet Marketing, Affiliate marketing. I came across Jeff……..
Although I still need more Research to do. I fully don’t understand alot of this. I am Thankful for Jeff and his free help. I am unemployed at this time and don’t have the money to buy anything. Yes I know how pitiful!!
But what can you do? I decided to learn about Internet marketing. I’ve always wanted to have MY OWN BUSINESS. I am new to the COmputer. So it is especially hard for me. But I am determined to make this happen. Thank you Jeff.

  20. Great stuff Jeff (again) :-)
I will start immediately to implement it on my sites.

  21. Once again great info thanks Jeff

  22. Jeff

Great video, once again its the simple things which often go unnoticed and unused which can make all the difference. Will be adding some calls to action to my communications and materials.

    Tom

  25. Franko says:

I’m a new marketer; a 90 day wonder that was still wondering until luckily came across one of your feeder sited. I opted in to your mailing list and have LEARNED MORE about this business in just one of your presentations than I have fiddle-screwing-around with everything else.

Big Thanks!… I’ll meet you in the future.
    Franko

  26. dwayne says:

Can Amazon be the money site if I am promoting a product sold there? Is there a problem with that?

  27. So you should put text like “Click Here” on banners even though the whole image is clickable? I guess that makes sense, telling the visitor what to do rather than leaving it up to them.

  28. I recently have fully appreciated the importance of a call to action, because I re-branded my complete business and set up a new blog etc so that I could focus in on the simple call to action “click here now”. This has proved to be a very smart move because whatever I direct as a call to action it is clear as to where to click and why. This shows me just how important a call to action really is. Great Video Content seeing “The Big Picture”

  29. Justin says:

Just to clear this up no matter what the money site is (which can be virtually anything from my understanding) we just want them to take action and go directly there with no distractions or thinking on their part right?

    • Jeff Johnson says:

not exactly, it is your “most desired action”.. the place where you want them to end up.

If it’s a shopping site then you want “distraction” in the sense they add more items to their basket.

If you want an optin… no other distractions… just get the optin.
