    Hey Jeff.

I have a question about my domain being blacklisted!

It is a new domain which is fantastic for my niche. Only trouble is I was reading up online about blacklisted sites and so run my domains through a couple of sites which claim to tell you if it is blacklisted or not and to my horror my new domain is already blacklisted. I really want this domain but am i wasting my time? Does Google un ban if they are new? can i work it as normal and things will iron out?

    What would you do?

    Hope you can help please.

    Many thanks Jeff

    Have a great day 🙂

That depends on why it was blacklisted and who is blacklisting it.

If google themselves “blacklisted it” I’d suggest just moving on to a new domain.

That’s just crazy to see how many comments you’ve got for this article and amazing to see that you always answer.

I have to say that this is the best step by step formula I have seen so far… I will carefully apply all the steps to my new blog Faire Ses Courses Sur Internet

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the info, it is great. I am unclear about one thing though. Should the blog and website be on different domains or servers.

I understood servers so that would mean I’d host my website with Go Daddy and host blog with Host Gator… Is this correct?

    Thanks for your help,

      yes, different hosts./servers

Great information – going back years! I’m new to this whole thing and have been looking for a wordpress plugin that will enable email capture – that’s how I ended up here on your site.

Looking forward to reading more, there goes my afternoon!

Jeff, great content, you mention that you no longer teach or really use the social bookmarking, is there something you do in it’s place?

I understand the basic concept I believe, create a blog, post great content on it with keyword rich articles, create videos, use social media sites, join the conversation, etc. But I believe social book marking was used to “wake up the spiders” so to speak. Is that not needed anymore? Has something taken it’s place?

It was an extra push that also allowed us to show up on hundreds of other websites but it has lost its effectiveness.

now putting a facebook like button and/or a retweet button work better from a viral standpoint.
