   Maybe not scammers, but almost on a weekly basis we are hammered by one of these self proclaimed gurus (I’ve never even heard of these guys) selling a DVD set for either $1000 or $2000. And, frankly it’s 95% hype. You can figure out most of this stuff on your own by regularly visiting the INternet Marketing forums. And, maybe one day put your own DVD package together for about $5 a copy and selling for $997. Especially if you can work your way into other guru lists like Jeff’s…..;}

   Not participating in public forums is one of the smartest things I’ve ever done to become a success.

   Doing rather than talking is the key.. and so is learning from others that have been successful… a very powerful way to shortcut your learning curve.

   I’ve called it “the price of admission” for years… if you really want to learn from the best, you have to pay their price of admission.. buy their products.

   I’ve lived my life by it; my Grandfather taught me that rule when he used to tell me “every man is entitled to make a living, and set his own price. If you don’t agree with his price, tell him so and see what he’s willing to do about it. But never argure with him over it… if you don’t like it just walk away and take your business somewhere else.”

   You may be able to figure this stuff out on your own, given enough time. Maybe. But how much is your time worth?

   And what are the chances the other gurus will mail for you if they don’t personally know you… and how are they going to get to know you if you don’t buy their products or attend their seminars?

   It’s the price of admission.. and well worth the price

   I would have to agree with Jeff. You can figure out many things but having information from others that have already succeeded with it makes it easier. The first internet marketing product I ever bought was by Perry Belcher and Ryan Diess and it was packed with content. At one point we hadn’t heard of Napoleon Hill, Einstein, etc… it doesn’t diminish the value of their information. Even if you don’t buy their stuff, it couldn’t hurt to give them a listen.

   I got early access to the social media package Perry Belcher, way in April! at Frank Kern’s seminar.

   It’s not perfect. But good stuff, entertaining and informative. ..who else do you know that has consisntent $100K/mo off of free social media?

   I know that many won’t have the money for another course. It’s easy to blow $1k in a PPC in a week and get 3% conversion rate, so is $1K to teach you about free almost limitless traffic really such a bad deal? Anyway if it’s not good enough for you, it’s not a big deal, there are only a 1000 of them to go around, it will sell out, and one is likely going to go to your competitors.

   I’ve heard that comment before you can find everything you need to know off various forums. Yeah in theory *everything* is on the internet someplace or another, but it’s sometimes it’s the stuff they don’t tell you on the sales letter that has the biggest paybacks.

   Everybody has an opinion, only 3% of those in IM make money. Watching the walk *of the successful* rather than studying the footprints of the masses and those headed in the wrong direction.

   oh and good luck finding them all, scattered all over the entire internet.

   Admittedly many IM products are way overhyped and crappily built. Perry + Ryan deliver way more value than half the crap I review.

   Perry and Ryan have moved like 80Million in sales! To me It’s awesome to have access to these gurus, compressing years of trial an error into a single package. Time is so critical, competition moves so fast. Just having the right info in one place, is well worth the price of admission.

   Totally agree on the forums, even in masterminds, less is more.once a week or every other week is perfect.

   I saw the price of his 3 options and the basic one sells for $997, second one has coaching is extra $1000, Mastermind is $2997.
   Those prices are out of reach for most people. I am checking out Shawn Casey & Tellman Knudson’s Listbuilding course, much more affordable. Then, there is Tom McCarthy’s Transformationaltechnologies.com, $497.
   These are good alternatives. I used to buy $1000-$2000 products but not got the best use of them, so check out those cheaper courses where you can learn one step at a time. Some of these $2000 courses are too hard for newbies…
   Better to do it one step at a time, then increase in confidence, etc.

   I have watched the introductory videos and I think it’s a great way to boost your online business through their techniques in the social media. But I think the above-mentioned prices are way too high for starters like me.
