Wow, I’m overwhelmed and completely impressed. I’m not even sure how I found your site. I’ve not made my first dollar yet, but I’ve spent $600.00 bucks so far, in the last 60 days and really haven’t done anything but fail. Now, my wife’s out of work, and I’m a lower middle income earner at a 40 hour per week job. I need a change…and FAST…but I don’t have a couple extra grand sitting around to attend one of your seminars. (WISH I DID THOUGH!)

So, I’ll hold on to all the “GURU” products I’ve been spending money on, but put them on the shelf. I need to go to kindergarten and use baby steps to build up some reliable income. I’m comfortable with e-mail. I DID spend money to buy a domain a few weeks back…but I don’t even know what to do with it.

Care to nudge me a bit? I’m pretty certain affiliate marketing is IT! That’s why I chose the domain I did. Am I on the right track?

I’m not sure which products you purchased but $600 isnt that much in the overall scheme of things when looking to start a new business… trying spending that little when starting a business in the “real world”.

So I wouldn’t be discouraged.

Is affiliate marketing right for you? I don’t know.

But you can definitely learn how the pieces all fit together by promoting a few affiliate products to get started.

Build a few sites, build a list, learn how to craft an offer, and don’t be afraid to ask for the sale.

Creating your own product should be your long term goal. Once you do, sell it via affiliates in clickbank so you have a network of affiliates built right in.

Converting your visitors into clients is an entire course in and of itself.

Promoting other people’s product as an affiliate is usually inexpensive to start with.

Producing your own product is even less expensive.

I’ve spent an entire day at my seminar showing people how we created an info product in a highly competitive market using nothing but free software. And launched it to produce 50k or so in two weeks… starting from scratch without a list or jv partners.

camtasia has a 30 day free trial for videos, audacity is a free mp3 audio recording program, open office is a free wordprocessor and you can find free pdf programs all over the place.

THere’s free hosting, free autoresponder trial offers, free shopping carts like paypal, etc.

All it takes is an ebook to get started and a few people willing to sell your product.

Affiliate marketing on both sides is the way to go.

You can post negative stuff about me and I’ll probably print it.

But I won’t print negative stuff about other people.

So I wiped out your comment.

However, you don’t know his whole story, I do.

one thing I’ve learned in this business is that you can be held accountable for many things, including things your affiliates do without your knowledge or consent.

I’ve had two friends get dragged into court for such things… things their affiliates did, not them.

And the FTC is about to pass legislation that makes life even more miserable for companies that allow affiliates to sell their products.

Sometimes it’s much less expensive to simply stop fighting and just walk away and start all over.

Not to mention sparing your young family the pain suffering of fighting a long public battle in court.

He simply walked away and did what he thought was best for his family.

And I respected his decision.

He’s still one of the smartest marketers I know, and now he’s just that much smarter and will help us avoid similar situations.

We all learn from our mistakes, and I believe he has… and he’s willing to help us avoid the same ones.

Something similar happened to Frank Kern and I’ve never doubted him for one minute… he’s a genius, and he’s very generous with his teachings… he’s also a very good friend of mine and I’d trust him with my own children.
