My friend, Eben Pagan, runs a 20 million dollar a year information marketing business on the internet.

Eben asked me to share some of my “how to get started doing business online” and my traffic-getting strategies with his clients.

So he interviewed me for an hour or so and captured it all on tape.

Nothing for sale on this recording.

I just thought you guys may enjoy listening to it.

Note: My volume on the call is quite low so you may have to turn up your speakers to hear it well.

Here’s the call recording, be sure to click the “play” button:

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the call. I like to listen to them on my MP3 player and will be listening to it very soon - tonight.

I have followed both of you for a few years now and know you are the real deal.

Having seen you both at Frank Kern’s event in San Diego this April I know the information will be good and useful.

    Thanks again,

    Absolutely awesome my friend!!

Even when you are sick nonetheless you still pull it off with good, high-top, quality information. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find top qualiity information on this internet?!! Next to impossible. Not jokin!!!
Most of it is garbage even though they claim to be a “guru”. Their info. is put together so shoddy it should be illegal i.e., URLs won’t work, the info. doesn’t make sense, they skip about 5 steps inbetween steps 1 and 10, etc.

Like I said in previous posts….I’ve been searching for six months to find TOP QUALITY blogging information and you are the FIRST to actually deliver more than promised and it’s freekin FREE!!

Like WTF? For reals? Get back Jack….

Yep, I’m still lovin it man!

    Thanks for sharin the love!!

  • 5 Make Money Online // May 17, 2008 at 9:59 pm

    Jeff,

Great interview. You never cease to amaze me at the quality content that you deliver for free.

I recently paid $1,500 for a program that taught me how to do what you explained in this interview and it works like crazy. If only I would have waited I could have saved $1,500.

Thanks for your all of your efforts and all of incredible information.

    Jeff,

Sorry, this is not related to this particular post.
But, I just watched some of your Affiliate
Marketing videos on YouTube, and I’ve gotta
    say “wow”.

It seems you went from not even wanting to be
an internet marketer to being an internet
    marketing powerhouse pretty quick. Impressive
    info in your videos.

With all the terrabytes of info out there about
internet marketing, this is one of the few times I
    will say “wow”.

    Thanks,
    Tommy Linsley.

Very interesting interview… Glad to hear that having duplicate content is not an issue, for those of us who have writers block.

  • 8 Greg Jordon // May 18, 2008 at 2:06 pm

Astounding , Amazing… just pure brilliance are words that spring to mind as I listened to this wall to wall information packed telephone conversation between Eban Pagan and
    Jeff Johnson.
Eben starts by saying hold the fort and turn off everything – do it! There’s a cold congested golden mine of information here… and I tell ya you shouldn’t miss even a second of it – it’s a zip compressed conversation that will have your brain working overtime…
I was initially surprised that I had to download the MP3 to listen to it. Now I understand why…Thanks for your wisdom Mr. J.

    Thanks

    Hi
Re. your SEO blog update & training email today…
I’d love to know more about social bookmarking & web 2.0 sites to drive traffic.
I’d like to know if I can use any theme I like with your SEO software or does it have to be one of the SEO themes in the package? In other words will all of the SEO settings remain if I simply upload a different theme, or no they won’t, or yes, but you need to do this….
I’d love to learn more about tweaking themes to suit an individual blog and / or make it look different and stand out from over blogs using the same theme.
I’d love to learn more about using more plugins to add extra functionality and “visitor stickiness” to the blog.
    Cheers

  • 13 Judi // May 19, 2008 at 2:03 am

    Jeff,

I’m looking forward to listening to the interview. Don’t have time right now, because I’m too busy playing with my new wonderful blog!

Yes, I’d like to know how to put my own header on it, but I’m still working through and may figure it out myself. That is a part of getting to be successful in this business, learning how to do this stuff. Actually, I had a couple of glitches with my installation, but my hosting tech folks helped me work through it. Maybe your complainers should start looking at using their own resources.

That this is a free resource is astounding to me, and I greatly appreciate all the help you’re giving. Thank you!

Hi Jeff, thank you so much for all this information. This is A LOT better, way much better that what we can buy sometimes online for $200-$500. Seriously. Thank you. I’m forever thankful. I’d
love to hear more about how you use RSS feeds to build your blogs and how do you intergrate data feeds into your blogs. This data feed thingy is totally new for me but I’ve looked around and it seems fabulous. If I understand correctly, I can build my own in french for example (I have a french scrapbooking website) but I don’t underatnd how to integrate this on my blog. Another question, each time the rss or data feeds post on your blog, do you do a SB campaign or just everyonce in a while.

Thanks so much for your material. This is so great. Thanks

    Sincerely,

    Emmanuel Segui

    Jeff
To you and your team congratulaions, your SEO information and skill in delivering the content is second to none. Personally I have always seen SEO as such a hard concept to grasp-needing to know the technical aspects of search engines-but you make it seem easy and fun.

The social bookmarking and video application is awesome..to be honest SEO still intimidates me but after revising your info I can now approach it more confidently..One gripe though..too much info!! but hey i think this is a problem I can gladly live with …keep up the work we all appreciate it out here and continue to set the standard..

    Regards

    Hello,

Well I think the information was presented in a very professional way. But i know all the stuff you presented here because I offer it as a service to my clients.

Moreover, I have some secret information on the social marketing aspect. Things that I am sure most of the people dont know. I want to share it with the people here. How should i do that.

Will you allow me to do a blog post on this site. I will give them information never heard before. it’s all about social network marketing and how to tap into Myspace especially. I also know secret tricks of Apple Inc. who used the power of social networking to make iPod the biggest selling gadget in the world.

  • 29 Jonny Wooten // May 23, 2008 at 4:15 am

    Jeff,

I want to start off by saying that I love the content that you’ve been giving us but I’m getting afraid that like all good things in the IM world, will have a hefty price tag to learn the ‘real secrets’.

I just gotta stir things up a bit though…maybe even start a little controversy between people here.

If you have got the system down and already have a team of employees implementing all these methods that make you a ton of money…then why are you telling everyone else?

Wouldn’t you want to just keep doing what your doing but on a higher scale?

Remember the advice from John Reese, “If you find something that is working…don’t tell anyone else.”

Internet Marketers are known for disclosing their ‘million dollar money making methods’ just around the same time that their methods start becoming ‘old hat’ and not no longer effective.

By the time they get through teaching you their old methods…they are onto their new marketing ideas and trends that only get shared between their seminar ‘groupy’ buddies during late night stupers at the bar.

So, why is Jeff Johnson so eager to roll out his new underground methods for only $1k, 2k, oh no…not 5k!!!

    ; )

    Jeff Johnson says: Great question!

I asked my first IM coach the same thing :)

90% of the people I teach this stuff will never do anything with it… that’s a fact that is pretty much consistent across different markets and clubs.

The other 10% that do use it either become clients for life, or send me tons of referrals.

And as we’ve demonstrated many times in this market… you can generate a million dollars in a single day by selling “coaching”.

Even on my best days I don’t make a million dollars a day as an affiliate.

More importantly, the true value of “me” is “me”.. not what I teach but the motivation and inspiration I provide that makes some people finally get of their butts and take action.

So you can study all the free content in the world but there will always be a need for a “coach” to help people move forward.

Tiger Woods has one, Jordan had one and all great sluggers in baseball have a batting coach.

No matter where you are in your game people value coaches… at least the smart ones do.

And that’s what I’m selling… access to “me” as a coach or a motivation to take action.

I just also happen to deliver usable content along the way.

  • 30 stee // May 23, 2008 at 11:40 pm

Is affiliate traffic machine pro going to be offered in your coaching club.

Jeff Johnson says: It has been in the past but I’m not sure about this time.

You and Eban are the real deal. Thank you! Couldn’t wait to tell you I followed your exact instructions, used your word press blog, put it up on May 24 and now on May 28 I am #1 Google for my top keyword phrase out of 25 million pages. I don’t even have my video up yet. Holy cow Batman.

  • 34 Eli Anderson // May 29, 2008 at 6:14 pm

    Jeff,
I’ve only recently discovered you and your content. Sticky stuff. I keep coming back for more so thanks!

I intend on giving your techniques a go. Per your post above, I will be in the 10% who try it out, not the 90% who are big on interest and ideas, but short on action. I’ll communicate back the results when the time is right.

I’m trying to crack the code here for an industry that’s very old school in many ways - pest control. It’s a large, fragmented market that is notorious for its good-ol-boy ways and not known for leveraging technology. I have some exclusive affiliate opportunities lined up and I want to see if your traffic getting techniques will work for this traditionally off line business. Stay tuned.

Will that call be recorded so that I can listen to it at a later time? Again, thank you for all your great site, Jill Parish

Jeff says: I sure hope it’s recorded :)

  • 36 Dog Advice Puppy Advice // Jun 4, 2008 at 8:22 pm

    Hi Jeff,
Just wanted to say thank you while I am downloading the recording. I’ve watched the videos and it made me smile and excited until the next day. I got a question though, in one segment of the video you mentioned you used IBP as your SEO program. The price for multiple sites is steep at $595. How does your SEo software compare to theirs? Also, when I went on the site for the free software download, I entered my email addres but it said that I was already on the ‘newsletter list’ and couldn’t get access to that software. I am seriously considering the diamond membership, eventhough it’s pretty steep for a low salary worker, but as you say, it’s an investment. Sure, if i put in the $997 and then $149 each month after, if I can create from scratch a info product, and a traffic magnet site that brings in enough to cover this fee and more, that would be great, would like to hear from people who actually achieved this being novice and not ever having a website before. Thanks

Our Free SEO Blog Software is for building optimized wordpress blogs, it is not related in any way to the functions of IBP.

As for creating an info product from scratch… you’ll find videos of examples in the UTL membership site itself, and you’ll find over a hundred testimonials here:

  • 37 7 Tips for Beginners for Building Blog Traffic // Jun 7, 2008 at 3:14 pm

Hi Jeff reader’s n posters … wow yet more outstanding smack up to date
Action packed doable information Jeff you’re the one with the best tools and from where I’m sitting and working towards understandable current social networking knowledge

Your holding all the ace cards as far as what’s happening now online to any action driven marketer with a powerful product or idea … who wants to be up there doing for there businesses what needs to be done to drive that key factor “buying traffic” to there own opportunities and offers … just one point you might have missed …

Have you thought through not every one who is seeking to copy your generous offerings so far as you built the launch day interest … can afford to join you as a paid student right now? … simply because of financial restriction because of earlier financial commitments holding them back from joining you to get to the top to where your intending to take those lucky ones who can afford too pay your 2 part payment plan immediately on the button as your offer unfolded

So what I’m asking you to consider is … would it be of interest and benefit to you if you organized a survey to ask those who did not step up to the plate to show you what there opportunity or business has to offer the buying public so you could assess first hand if you would want to mentor them to the next level then take your fee from the success you would then have insiders knowledge of!! … I know as another fact from the success of your guidance and toolbox you have online wisdom to make this a double whammy success for you and which ever business idea would work big time from where you’re sitting by you holding all the ace cards

All my best to you and yours
    Phillip skinner

Jeff Johnson says: Unfortunately, I have tried that model and it just wasn’t fun for me… and I’m in this business to have fun and spend time with my family.

But I do enjoy helping people which is why for the last 4 1/2 years I’ve been sharing free killer content with you guys… and I know in my heart that my free information has changed hundreds, if not thousands, of people’s lives for the better…. they’ve told me so over the years.

  • 38 John H // Jun 12, 2008 at 11:12 am

    You want to
see a wide range of positions over a number of different
search engines using different keywords or phrases for the
