We’ve added another 7,000 or 8,000 free members to Jeff Johnson’s Underground
Training Lab™ community and this blog in the last two days alone.

That brings the grand total to 12,725 new users of my Traffic-Getting
Jumpstart™ Master Plan and Free SEO Blog Software
in the last week alone… and
this runaway train is picking up speed every hour… so I doubt it’s over…not
by a long shot.

Here’s the problem:

We absolutely can’t keep up with demand.

I have personally answered dozens and dozens of personal questions on this blog.

And my lead developer and resident wordpress guy spent four straight hours
just this morning responding to help requests.

Not to mention my poor over-worked help desk staff and admin assistants.

We are giving my SEO Blog Software and the training away for free… as
promised.

And we’ve already issued  4  new videos (35 videos in all) and two
complete step-by-step traffic-getting updates in the first week alone.

That’s on top of the 3 updates to the software itself… all within the first
week…. and it’s all free.

Here’s What I Need From You!

90% of all help requests can be solved by simply watching the videos we’ve
made for you and by reading traffic-getting updates.

You’ll find links to all of them on the blog or at the bottom of this post.

And you should definitely consult our FAQ (frequently asked questions) page before you try to contact us.

Need Help  – Visit our FAQ page

The important thing to remember about your new SEO Blog Software is that you
can include any content in it you would like, as long as it’s a text file like
articles, rss feeds, data feeds, etc.

It is what you make of it.

The more you put into it the more you’ll get out of it.

I’ll be teaching you how to use it the right way to grab more free traffic in
the search engines.

However, there is a huge potential for abuse when you learn what I have to
teach you.

It is very, very easy to spam the engines with these techniques.

They are all “white hat” but can be easily scaled out and outsourced to such
a large degree that some people prefer to just “let them rip” and grab every
single bit of exposure in the engines they can.

Also, it is possible to put these types of sites on 100% auto-pilot using an
almost endless supply of content that anyone can use.

But I recommend that you always use your own unique content and scale these
things out slowly to build a business rather than just grabbing free traffic for
the sake of grabbing more traffic.

You know what they say “with great power comes great responsibility”.

They also say ‘ pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered”… so do don’t get too
greedy!

Use this power wisely… that’s all I ask.

Jeff Johnson

I have to say the videos could be better organized. But other than that, all seems cool! :) Good luck!

Point taken. Kinda like the guy who got the million dollars but didn’t become a millionaire 1st. Lost the money because he didn’t understand the responsibility that came along with it!

Great videos and information. I can’t wait to get it into play!

  • 5 Curt // May 12, 2008 at 4:44 pm

    Hey Jeff,

First of all I just want to thank you for sharing your free software.

I’ve intsalled 2 blogs I’ve recently started with your software.

Now I just need to start adding content. Hopefully you can give us tips on how to add the rss feeds and other free traffic sources as you mentioned.

The videos are awesome, I just watched it step by step and had no problems getting my site up.

Anyone who is having problems with the install should just review the videos. I’ve wasted lots of money on video installs and I have to say that for being free, these are absolute gold!

    Keep coming!

Thank you for all your hard work! It is much appreciated. I think that prioritizing your paying clients first is wise. Haven’t had a chance to see everything yet, but I’m looking forward to the experience.

I agree that careful reading is usually quite helpful. And I find that technical material, no matter how well-written, may still pose difficulties for lots of folks.

That’s one reason why new business startups often get into trouble with the IRS. They simply don’t understand the rules.

I’m on a mission to change that.

Thanks again, Jeff, for the great tips on using blogs. I’m sure they’ll help me in my efforts to spread the word about my new training products.

I have the software installed, I am working with the social networks and everything seems to be working ok.

Thanks Jeff for providing this traffic secret !

Well Jeff, I’m glad to see that you are getting such a great response.
Great responses always come at a price. I know first hand how time consuming answering questions can be. Sometimes frustrating as well, when people don’t bother to read instructions you have created for them.
Please don’t get disheartened and keep up the good work.

I must admit I don’t remember where or how I got to receive e-mails from Jeff, but it’s a big relief to get some valuable information in video form for free. It’s hard to find this information without someone wanting to make a quick buck from you. Most people who want to start a legitimate online business lack the understanding, time and money to make a real go of it, and saidly fail in making any money at all. So when Jeff shares free information with you grab it with two hands. Any information is better then nothing at all.

I must say, the worst thing to have happened to Internet Marketing was by far Y2k and, since then, I guess the buzz word has been web2.0, including social bookmarking etc.

Ahh, what a life that was, having keywords in one’s meta tags and hoping for the SE spiders to index the pages and get the site top rankings on the net.

Now, it’s a dog eat dog environment and, unless one learns the art of creating quality backlinks to their sites…a hotel in a desert with no advertising is a better bet than a site lost on the net.

Kudos to you Jeff…you have one up on the stompernet guys, and I wish you all the best with this endeavor.

    Wonderful tutorials by the way.

Thanks for all the great info. I am not a blogger yet and look forward to starting. I had intended to buy your Affiliate Traffic Pro to get started. Now with the Underground TrainingLab, I’m wondering if I should just wait until you finish your new product? Will it be “instead of” or “in addition to” ATP? When to you plan on having it?
    Thanks, Rick

Jeff, it’s amazing that you’re giving away this software. What I find even more amazing is your pretty much tell-all portal feeder interview .

The thing that no one ever reveals is that you have people…a machine…programmers etc.

The thing that no so called guru explains is that they don’t do the work all by themselves…they outsource…”BRAVO!”

  • 34 Eric // May 14, 2008 at 12:39 am

    Hi Jeff,

Is the SEO blog software good for a main site that I want to use to promote products?

I read somewhere from your blog or email that you’re suggesting that this SEO blog is good to be used in feeder sites and not the main site.

Can you let me know more? Thanks.

Basically I would like to have a site in the posts I will include the affiliate links to the products that I want to promote.

    Thanks Jeff! :)

Jeff Johnson says: If you are using data feeds or rss feeds and don’t know what you are doing … then you should only use it as a feeder site.

  • 39 David Dwight // May 14, 2008 at 7:19 am

Well Jeff I have just finished uploading my first blog… again many thanks for making this available.. I have one question before I start placing loads of content on my blog… I wrote my first post and the page name ended up like this..

    /4/the-perfect-mp3-player/

is there any way I can make wordpress place the category in the title instead of the post number which was in this case number 4?

for example if my category was Sony..

    /sony/the-perfect-mp3-player/

    Kindest regards David

    Anthony Montalbano says:
You can structure it so that it shows category, then the name of the post, but it is not recommended. By doing that there is a possibly of having duplicate URL’s, for 2 different sites. If you have 2 of the same post titles in the same category, then you will result in the same permalink URL.

If this happens, going to the link will pull up the first site for that URL, and you will never see the other site. The reason for the post number is to act as a unique identifier so this problem will never occur. If you want the category in the URL I would add it on along with the the post number, like this:

    /%post_id%/%category%/%postname%/

but if you are aware of possible permalink conflictions, then this is what you would set as the permalink structure:

    /%category%/%postname%/

(To do this, login to your blog’s admin, then Settings -> Permalinks -> Custom Structure)

  • 43 Eric // May 15, 2008 at 10:36 pm

    Hi Anthony,

Will the URL structure: /%post_id%/%postname%/ affect the SEO ranking?

Isn’t /%category%/%postname%/ better in SEO ranking?

    Thanks.

Jeff Johnson says: Hi, Anthony isn’t the SEO guy, he’s the wordpress tech guy.

if you use category you could risk repeating your keywords in the title too many times… a bad thing.

Also, using categories names in the url could throw keyword density of your url off.

Safest to use a number for most users.

but you could do that if you wish.

  • 44 Justin Case // May 16, 2008 at 10:58 am

Hi Jeff, I am wondering if it would be helpful to add something like “head-meta-description” plugin or is there already something in your unique WP ?

    thanks

    Anthony Montalbano says:
The All-In-One SEO plugin inside of the package already adds meta-tags for title and description, so there wouldn’t be a need to add another plugin to repeat the same feature. Actually, have multiple plugins adding meta-tags to your blog can conflict with each other.

  • 45 Eric Looi // May 16, 2008 at 8:51 pm

    Hi Jeff,

I use All-In-One SEO plugin in another blog, do i need to fill in the SEO plugin in the writing page? I mean to fill in the form provided by the All-in-One SEO Plugin such as Title, Description, keywords.

And if I would like to change the URL structure of another blog I already used as /%category%/%postname%/ to /%post_id%/%postname%/ , how to do that? Just edit that? Will that affect my submission to google? I mean I already have posts indexed by google but now just 30plus posts.

Thanks again Jeff for this great site! :)

P/S: It will be great if you can add the Comment Notification which will notify those who comment after they got a reply or post in particular comment. Else, we have to search for which post we had commented before. Sometimes we as human will forget. :D Hope you understand. I use this one: http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/subscribe-to-comments/

Jeff says: We just updated the software so it asks you a few questions during installation and then populates those things for you.. so you don’t have to by hand.

you can always change your link structure. the old pages will still be “out there” but the blog link structure will no longer be there.

I woldn’t do it unless it is a fairly new blog or one that doesn’t get traffic to begin with.

    Hi Jeff,

Shortly before I received information about your brilliant service, I installed Atomic Blogging and WPTraffic. The synergy between what you provide and mixing with other plugins is excellent.

Like many people who will have downloaded your blogging software, I am not very good at the technical stuff. It would be good to know how to improve the look of blogs, how to monetize with adsense, amazon plugins etc.

I am so glad to be a part of your excellent experiment.

Have you considered including the Wordpress Automatic Update plugin with the install? That way anyone using the software would be able to keep their Wordpress installation up to date easily.

But the video was terrible. It follows along the line of those guys who it seems never review what they record. Its written more for someone who knows exactly what the guy is doing-not for those who are tying to follow along because they dont really know what to do. In other words it did not help me at all…

Thank you for the excellent SEO software. I’m particularly impressed with the fact that an SEO-specific plugin is automatically included and that you’ve included, by default, a large list of notification services for publicity of new blog posts. Thanks again!

I’ve noticed that there’s a security code box below the comments box, but no graphic is showing up. In other words, the obscured image is not being displayed. This is true regardless of the template that I use. Any idea what I did wrong?

    Thanks!

Sometimes when uploading a large number of files your FTP client may not upload all of your files successfully. Try to re-upload the SimpleCAPTCHA plugin into the wp-admin/plugins directory. This should correct your problem.

Wow! What a great gift. I can’t wait to use it. Look at: http://www.insidetheapolloproject.com. My husband and I are going to be guests of NASA at Cape Kennedy for the launch of the Shuttle Discovery. I am one of a very unique few in the world.
Thank you for a wonderful gift but I will not be able to use it until June 2nd. Please save me a place. :o )

    Hello Jeff and Team,
Thanks for the awesome info. I’ve wanted to start a blog for a while now and have been putting it off for fear of not knowing what to do… You made it sound so simple and doable. Thank you for being so generous.

One quick question, I know you said to put it on your money site. I have a Yahoo Store and they have a help page on activating a Wordpress blog
can I use your download instead of their instructions?

Would I be better off doing both ,and using another hosting co. and domain for the second blog.

I’ve seen stores use their blog to feature products and link to product pages on their site and use a different blog to write articles and tips and link to interior pages on their site.

My store sells Home Decor products and it’s not niched, someone told me any one of my sections could be a separate store by some online standards. I’m only getting 2500 visitors a Month…Definitely need more targeted traffic.

Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated. Once again I’m making it too complicated.

Jeff Johnson says: I don’t know about the yahoo store use of wordpress and my software…

But I definitely recommend you start a new blog.. or two… or three.. on different domains and link to the interior pages of your commerce site from each of the blogs…. really helps the indexing and ranking of the sites.

Each blog could concentrate on a different category within your site.

Thanks for the great f*ree information on your blog.

I just have a question, How can I change the header banner on the wordpress themes, like you did in your Camera blog?

I used your free seo software to create my blog, I´m still setingup my site, but I dont know how to use my own header banner for the themes included with your seo software.

    Regards,

    Luis

Jeff says: changing the banners is a tutorial in my GMTB and the new Underground Training Lab private membership site (now my only training/coaching club).

I’ll see what we can do about releasing that info here for you… but I can’t give you a time frame.

    Hi Jeff,
Just wanted to thank you for all the great information. It really does work! One thing though, I can’t seem to stay on the first page of my keyword search phrase. I do dominate the second page, but wondering why I can’t seem to hold on to the first page results. I followed all your instructions with the exception of a few missing RSS feeds. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jeff,
Everything looks very promising. I am just wondering if your techniques and software works on a different platform than Wordpress.
    My website:

    Hi Guys!
First off I want to say THANKS! for all the videos and the free optimized Wordpress!! I just got done installing the new optimized version of Wordpress but I am having some problems.

I tried looking for a solution but I am having no luck. Here is the problem. I created an about me page and published it. But when I try to view it through the link that gets created on the main blog page, I get sent to a page saying
    Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I then noticed I am getting the same message when I try to click on any link in the blog that is directed to somewhere else within my blog. All external outbound links work fine.

I had changed themes to a different one I had downloaded from Wordpress and thought that might be the problem so I changed back to the original theme that came with your software. No dice, problem still remains.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for everything!

    Hi Jeff,

I came across your site a year after I started building my network of WordPress sites (that I have labeled ‘blogmatics’) and I want to thank you for the information found here as it has been beneficial to improving my revenue and speeding things up- I am up to 46 blogmatics and working on adding 54 more as quickly as possible and your ideas/suggestions will certainly help me towards achieving the goal of 100 blogmatics more quickly.

    Regards,
    Cesar

I still can’t figure out what this program can do?!

  • 77 Arthur // Jan 5, 2009 at 9:57 am

Maybe this is because I’m working on a MAc but
I’ve been watching Anthony’s installation video but still have questions. . .

When he opens the “wp-config.php” file he says type in databaseID, userID and password.
WHERE DO I FIND THOSE 3 BITS OF INFORMATION?

Then he continues, “select all in the wp folder and drag it to the FTP location.
WHY DON’T I SEE ACCESS TO AN FTP?

Jeff says: The software itself may not extract on a MAC.

The rest of it requires that you set up a data base on your hosting account before you set up the blog
