A question, though. Google has only 3 backlinks for my site, Yahoo has 843 backlinks and Alexa 41. Anyone able to answer the reason for the differences and how we go about imroving the Google backlinks??
Google doesn’t like to reveal the true number of links it sees for your site, never has.

I’ve checked out your sources of Traffic and have your plug in, I was just wondering two things really…
1) why does the plug in have a bunch of numbers between the post name tag and the url.
e.g./2933/everyone-is-cool ?
And this is a question I’ve been asking a few SEO people I know…
2) How long will it someone to get top rankings of google using a one page site?

The numbers in the URL are smart wp permailink designed… it has to do with the way the wp rewrite rule works. Big sites can slow way down if you only use the postname or start it with a category.
It shouldn’t affect your seo one way or another since google ignores it… but it is definitely the smart way to design your permalink structure.
Ranking on page one of google can be done within hours, even minutes, based on how you promote the site and which keywords you are targeting. Doesn’t matter if it is 1 page or 100.
