Love your stuff. Your training lab got me up to speed so quickly.. saved years of learning.
Dude, congrats on winning the Magic Bullet contest! I would actually like to see a future video of you setting up a campaign in Facebook advertising getting the .01 cent clicks in competitive markets!
I love all your work, and would be very interested if, no when, you release information on how to use twitter to maximize profits.
Hey JJ, Can you give me a link where i can sign up
as a affiliate for HD TVS? Can you reply and tell me
the steps i need to do to sell the tvs?You dont have to go in full detail yust short steps. And thanks again for the video!
amazon.com is a good start. The steps are sign up with amazon, build a blog, insert amazon widgets, amazon product reviews, build a list, post videos on video sites that send people back to your site, buy 1 cent ads on youtube and facebook, get incoming links to your blog, etc. You can’t send PPC traffic directly to amazon so send them to blog.
You Rocks Jeff
Cant believe it ,you have just said every thing he “Marlos” may need to know to make this happen
You are one of few people I always trust and really respect

thanks for this video (& indeed, the others as well) Jeff!
To answer your question as to what I’d like to see covered in subsequent videos, I’d say this: If you could target them more at people like me who are just getting going with IM (via SEO in my case) – that is you can assume a decent level of understanding of the basics of SEO and affiliate marketing, but please dont assume we do this full time or have staff, or even have a successful IM business currently…
So, less about specific topics, more about perspective I guess. That said, how to do things more quickly would be helpful (especially for those of us who have to do this in a VERY part-time manner).
Thanks so much!
I have been using your SEO plugin for a while now…where can I find those 75+ videos you mentioned?
Specific training would be nice. I put in a lot of effort every day, but still can’t make money consistently. I appreciate any help I can get.
some of the videos are mailed out and on my blog, plus there are 75 at http://jeffjohnsonvideos.com

Hi Jeff,
First time here but it wont be the last. I like your style and honesty. I greener than green to this so I need as much encouragement as I can get.
One question, why don’t you do full visual videos so that we can actually see you as you teach us?
I think it would be beneficial to all.
Thanks again Jeff….
John .S.
Hi Jeff,
new to all of this and I do mean new.
So I’m keen to learn as much as I can.
One point I’d like to make… have you ever thought about doing physical videos so that we can actually see you?
I reckon it would go down even better!!
Looking forward to the learning that’s to come.
Regards… John. S.
check ou the 75 videos on my youtube channel. “talking head” videos take way more time to produce so I tend to stick with voice over.
Hi Jeff,
I am new to this and your video explains things very clearly. I am excited and intend to start taking action straight away.

You make it look so easy!
But it’s only that easy when you have your experience and know exactly what to do.
Your videos are very helpful and I also will look on YouTube.

Men, i love your videos. ou always provide quality content. One thing you dont seem to cover is how to make sure that when customers get to a site they convert or take action. I seem to be having a little problem with that. I can see some unique visitors .
I would appreciate it a lot if you could make a video about conversion.
Thanks again for all your insight
Excellent content as always Jeff. Thank you!
Would love to see more info on advanced affiliate strategies.
Thanks for facebook ads idea – i didn’t new it is so cheap
I would like a video about the tools you use for each step, Traffic-Leads-Money. You’ve promoted most of them in your videos but never discussed all of the tools in a single video training.
Thanks
When you get a new lead from one of your affiliates and this new lead buys from you in the future, the affiliate gets commission?
Can the affiliate link with (almost) any page on this blog and will a lead then be tracked?
an affiliate can create their own affiliate link to any wordpress post or page on this domain and when their visitor uses the link to visit this domain and optin to my list the affiliate ID is hard coded to my autoresonder. I then send the affiliate link back out to the leads when I re-open my UTL coaching club… even for tose leads that were sent a year or two ago; it’s possible to earn a commission on a lead that was sent months or even years ago.
How do you make your videos? One is with capturing images and the other with a camera. For the one with images: I guess, you first think what you will say, then prepare the images and then speak. Which tools do you use.
I don’t use a script for either style… I builld a presentation that makes sense and then just start recording.
I use camtasia, snagit, and powerpoint to make the screen presentations and various cameras to capture thte live video and then either camtasia, sony vegas pro or adobe cs4 to convert the live video to web format.
Jeff,
I’m interested on a video tutorial about how to set up the 3 blogs you recommend.
Not the wordpress or traffic-getting side; you’ve covered that previously…
But, the questions in my mind are:
1) Anything I should know when registering domains? Obviously, I want private registration so the WHOIS records don’t tie the sites together.
2) Should visitors be able to tell that I own all 3 sites, or do I try to make it look like each is totally independent?
3) Should the 3 blogs each focus on a different demographic, but the same main keywords… or should each of the 3 blogs focus on a different slice of the keyword space?
In other words, what are the “tricks” I need to know to make sure the 3 blogs I create have the most impact.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff Hoffman
Oh yeah, and…
4) Is it okay to connect all 3 blogs to the same Google Analytics account, or send traffic to all 3 blogs from the same Google AdWords account?
5) Is your opt-in offer the same on each blog? Leading to one big list?
It’s prefectly “legal” but you aren’t doing much of a job hiding the fact that you own all three domains when you do so. yes, there are services that handle ads for people with their one adwords account, but if you are trying to hide… use different accounts.
I used to teach that stuff extensively to my coaching clients but they tended to spend too much time on building the proper structure and not enough time on building strong offers, increasing conversions and developing their own products.
My advice is simple… if you build quality sites with quality content then it won’t matter if you own all three and link between them since google won’t care.
Each site should focus on a related sub-niche of a general market. For example, high def televsions would have one site about plasma, one about lcd and another about projectors, etc. T
Id like to see a video showing how a person with high trafficked blogs who has never tried affiliate marketing can convert that traffic into affiliate sales.
Jeff,
I thought that you emphasized the fact that in order to be successful we need to promote high ticket items in competitive markets. So is there an exception to the rule?
you said that you sold coffee cups… I am a bit confused
A second question- it makes sense that people will join a mailing list or open links on twitter when the topic is something like internet marketing, blogging or things like that. But how do you convince people to join a list of follow on twitter when your site is selling things like sewing machines or air conditioners? This is usually something that people buy once in a couple of years, they don’t become extremely passionate about it. And what kind of emails will you send to this kind of list?
Thanks,
Tanya
There’s always an exception to the rule. I can have a site up an running within minutes and plug it into a network for incoming links in a few minutes so if I have a site selling mugs that upsells them other items (amazon) then it is “successful”. If you only have the time to work on one site and you plan on actively promoting it then stick to the higher priced items.
There are 400 million people on facebook, and you can form a group on any topic you’d like. Plus you can demographically target ads on facebook for a penny or two. Twitter has millions of Oprah followers, and millions of ashton pitching nikon cameras. Twitter and facebook are not IM specific platforms.. they are used by the masses and those masses are interested in many different things. Your job is to find out what they are willing to buy and/or trade their contact info for.
Thanks for the answer, I think I understand what you are saying.
Of course there are many audiences on twitter and internet marketing is just one niche. I was just using it as an example for a topic that people are passionate about and cannot get enough of vs something like an air conditioner, which for most folks it is just a purchase they have to make (usually not something they enjoy either, kind of a necessary evil).
It just seemed to me that INFO PRODUCTS are more compatible with twitter marketing. If I want to buy an air conditioner I’m just going to GOOGLE it and visit a review page. I don’t go on twitter to do my research. On twitter I can access the right audience, but they’re not really in a buying mode. My experience with twitter showed me that twitter is mainly about building relationships (I needed to gain trust before I saw any clicks on my links). And you need to keep on tweeting, at least a couple of times a week or you will be unfollowed. The exception is when you are already known, then people will be searching for you. I just couldn’t think of what to tweet about on a consistent basis to make people care about something like an air conditioner.
But then I thought about what you said about Oprah. So, instead of building a twitter account about the PRODUCT, I need to make it about the TARGET AUDIENCE? Instead of creating an account to tweet about air conditioners I would need to tweet about home improvement in general and promote different products the audience might be interested in? Is that what you were saying?
Oh, and if you’re in the mood for answering questions, can I sneak an SEO Q ? From what I understand linking between the pages on your money website can help you rank. Let’s say you have a static site. When you link from an external website you have to link with the absolute link type but static websites are more likely to use relative link types e.g. productreviews/someproduct.html . Are the anchor text and the link still effective when using a relative link or does it need to be an absolute link every time?
Thanks,
Tanya
Change your marketing to match the medium of the message. With twitter you can’t always cram a link down their throat, but you can market on twitter. Just add value. amazon allows you to create twitter friendly affiliate links to products directly on their pages so my guess is they do plenty of business that way. Become a thought leader on a topic and people will follow. Then just figure out a way to market to them in an acceptable manner.
As for relative links, I prefer absolute but relatives are fine if they are consistent within the site. You can alway use a 301 directive to force the important ones to resolve the way you’d like “www vs. non www, etc”.
Am late in visiting this blog post. Your message has focused my attention on the three component framework as the strategic underpinning to marketing (online or offline). Thank you for providing this important focus. Look forward to more of your teaching.
You make it sound so easy and I suppose it is once you get going. Any tips/advice on CPA marketing? btw I love the traffic plugin for wordpress.
Cheers,
Mark
It’s easy after lots of hard work to get it started
I’d look for CPA from Mike Hill, Amish Shah and Jay Styles, or Gauher Chaudry.
They are all experts, friends of mine and put out high quality CPA products.
Hy Jeff,
I wish if you can create a .pdf abour the 210k in 9 hours describing the exact steps you follow to make that cash. It will be probably the most valorous gift that you will give to your subscribers. Can you do this for us ?
the basic steps are in this PDF and video:
http://www.trafficvoodoo.com/traffic-launcher/
It’s not an exact step by step, but it’s the general outline.
Hi Jeff:
I want to thank you, using your free tutorial I just made my first couple of grand on the internet
I have a question:
Does the content for the Feeder Sites have to be unique (aka if I set up a 3 Blog network, to capture different keywords on the search engines, can I just use the same content, or what do you reccomend)
I want to join your coaching club, when is it opened?
Rick
Glad to hear about your success!
As for your blogs…
Always use different content on each site. “unique” content is best.
My coaching clubs are currently closed to new members.
I re-open them every 3 or 4 months so stay tuned….
Hey Jeff:
Very good stuff….
I just nailed $14.255 in my first affiliate promotion. I literally knew nothing about IM, so now I am very excited.
